About the REP Fitness AB-3000 2.0 FID Adjustable Weight Bench
The REP Fitness AB-3000 2.0 is a flat/incline/decline (FID) adjustable bench for home gyms that need one solid bench for pressing and other strength work. It's built from 11-gauge steel in a three-post design and rated to 1,000 lbs, including your body weight.
A ladder-style adjustment gives eight back pad angles from -12 to 85 degrees, and the seat sets to five angles from 0 to 20 degrees, so you can move from decline work through flat and incline pressing to near-upright seated positions. Built-in leg rollers adjust to six positions to hold your legs in place, and the seat pad is reversible. Extra-dense CleanGrip pads, a wider rear base for side-to-side stability and rubber covers on the front and rear bases complete the design.
At 56.6 by 25.8 inches and 17.1 inches tall, it needs just under 10 square feet of floor space. Assembly takes about 15 to 20 minutes, and it works with the REP Ares 2.0 attachment. It suits everyone from entry-level to experienced lifters.
What reviewers say
Reviewers see the AB-3000 2.0 as a standout value among FID benches, citing its wide range of back and seat angles, sturdy 1,000-lb-rated frame, easy adjustments and floor-protecting rubber feet. Drawbacks include a noticeable gap between the seat and back pads, no upright storage, and leg rollers that only help with declines rather than leg curls or extensions.
Pros
- Wide range of back and seat angles
- Sturdy, commercial-feeling frame
- Quick, easy adjustments
- Rubber base covers protect floors; reversible seat
Cons
- Pad gap wider than some rivals
- Can't be stored upright
- Leg rollers only for decline work, not curls or extensions
