About the woom GO 3 AUTOMAGIC 16" Kids' Bike – Woom Red
The woom GO 3 AUTOMAGIC is a 16-inch kids' bike with an aluminum frame and an upright riding position. That upright design is meant to help young riders keep their balance and stay aware of what's around them as they ride.
The AUTOMAGIC version gives the GO 3 two speeds, so riders have a second gear to work with as their confidence and pace grow.
This size is intended for children aged four and up. It suits kids who are ready to ride on pedals and families who want a carefully designed bike that small riders can handle comfortably. This listing is for the Woom Red color.
What reviewers say
Two Wheeling Tots praises the GO 3 platform's build quality, low step-through frame, color-coded hand brakes, air tires and kid-sized grips and saddle, and its testers preferred the AUTOMAGIC's automatic 2-speed hub for faster cruising with less pedaling on flat ground. The downsides are a higher price than many 16-inch bikes, an upright geometry better suited to smooth paths than rough terrain, and no training-wheel compatibility; on hills the AUTOMAGIC hub often stayed in the higher gear, so the reviewers suggest the standard GO 3 for timid riders or hilly areas.
Pros
- Well built with careful attention to detail
- Low step-through frame is easy for beginners to get on
- Color-coded hand brakes, air tires and kid-sized grips and saddle
- Automatic 2-speed hub lets kids cruise faster on flat ground without shifting
Cons
- Costs more than many 16-inch kids' bikes
- Upright geometry suits smooth paths more than rough terrain; no training-wheel option
- AUTOMAGIC hub can stay in the higher gear on hills, making climbs harder
