The Philips 3200 Series with LatteGo is a fully automatic, bean-to-cup espresso machine that makes everyday coffee drinks at the touch of a button. Fresh beans go into the 275 g hopper and are ground by ceramic burrs with 12 grind settings, and the touch display lets you choose espresso, coffee, Americano, cappuccino, latte macchiato or hot water. The My Coffee Choice menu adjusts strength and cup size.
The LatteGo milk system is the headline feature. It froths milk into a layer of foam without any tubes, and its two parts can be rinsed under the tap in as little as 15 seconds, according to Philips, or put in the dishwasher. The brew group is fully removable for cleaning, and with the AquaClean filter Philips says you can go up to 5,000 cups between descalings when you change the filter as prompted.
It is a good fit for households that want cappuccinos and lattes without the learning curve or cleanup of a traditional espresso machine. The 1.8-liter water tank and the waste container are both accessible from the front.
