About the Dyson CameraJet Electric Toothbrush with Flosser
Dyson's first toothbrush puts a camera in the brush head. A small macro lens under the bristles watches your teeth as you brush, Dyson's gap-detection software spots the spaces between them, and a precision jet fires a short burst of mouthrinse into each gap within a fraction of a second, so it flosses while you brush rather than as a separate job.
The brush itself is a sonic electric toothbrush with three intensity settings, including a gentle one, and dual-bristle heads that clean along the gumline. A 12.5 ml reservoir holds the rinse for a full session, the heads carry a chip that tells you when they need replacing, and the MyDyson app can show a live view from the camera, a coverage map and feedback on technique. Dyson says footage is analysed on the brush and not stored or uploaded.
In the box: the CameraJet, two dual-bristle brush heads, a refill dock, a travel case and a waterproof USB-C charging cable. Dyson's own non-foaming toothpaste and low-foaming mouthrinse are recommended, because ordinary foam blocks the camera's view.
What reviewers say
Early reviews agree the CameraJet does what it claims: testers found a post-brush floss turned up nothing left behind, the live camera view genuinely shows missed spots, and the build is as premium as the price. Where they split is on whether it is worth that price. The jet mode takes practice and can be messy, the brush is bulkier than a normal electric toothbrush, it works best with Dyson's own non-foaming toothpaste and rinse, and replacement heads add to the running cost. Reviews so far are from launch (September 2026), so long-term reliability is unproven.
