About the Fender Player II Stratocaster, Rosewood Fingerboard, Transparent Cherry Burst - Bundle with Hardshell Case, Cable, Tuner, Strap and 12-Pick Pack
The Fender Player II Stratocaster takes the classic three-single-coil Strat and updates it for today's players. This version pairs a Transparent Cherry Burst finish with a chambered mahogany body and a slab rosewood fingerboard for a warm, classic look on the familiar double-cutaway shape.
The maple neck has a Modern "C" profile with a smooth satin back, a 9.5-inch-radius fingerboard with rolled edges and 22 medium-jumbo frets, so chords and bends feel comfortable from the first position to the top of the neck. Three Player Series Alnico V single-coil pickups run through a 5-way switch, taking you from glassy neck tones to snappier bridge sounds, while the 2-point synchronized tremolo with bent steel saddles adds gentle vibrato.
This listing is a bundle: alongside the guitar you get a hardshell case, an instrument cable, a tuner, a strap and a 12-pack of picks. That makes it a convenient, ready-to-play package for anyone stepping up to a Fender or adding a Strat to their collection.
What reviewers say
Reviewers see the Player II Stratocaster as a worthwhile update to Fender's Mexican-made Player line, praising the comfortable Modern "C" neck with rolled edges, the return of rosewood fingerboards and convincing classic Strat tones for the money. Guitar World and Gear4music both rate it as a strong choice for developing and working players. Criticisms are minor: the factory setup can need tweaking out of the box, and Fender doesn't include a gig bag or case with the guitar itself.
Pros
- Comfortable Modern "C" neck with rolled fingerboard edges
- Authentic, versatile Strat tones from the Alnico V pickups
- Welcome return of rosewood fingerboard options
- Strong value for a Fender-branded Strat
Cons
- Factory setup (nut, truss rod) can need adjustment out of the box
- Fender ships the guitar itself without a gig bag or case (this bundle adds a hardshell case)
