About the Therabody Theragun Relief Massage Gun
The Theragun Relief is Therabody's simple three-speed massage gun, designed for gentle, everyday full-body massage. It weighs about 1.37 lb, uses a 10 mm amplitude and runs from a single button, which keeps it easy to pick up and use.
Its triangular grip lets you change hand positions to reach different areas. The battery is rated for up to 120 minutes, and it charges with the included USB-C cable.
Three attachments come in the box: the Standard Ball, Dampener and Thumb. It suits people who are new to percussive massage or who prefer a lighter touch over deep-tissue intensity.
What reviewers say
Testers generally see the Relief as an approachable starting point for people new to massage guns, and they praise its light weight, comfortable triangular grip, simple one-button controls and very quiet running. The trade-off is limited power: reviewers say its short stroke and modest stall force suit gentle, everyday massage rather than deep-tissue work, and some feel it is pricey for its feature set.
Pros
- Light and comfortable to hold
- Very quiet operation
- Simple one-button controls
- Approachable for beginners
Cons
- Limited power; can stall under firm pressure
- Short 10 mm amplitude limits deeper work
- Pricey for its feature set, some testers say
