About the Dyson 360 Vis Nav Robot Vacuum (Blue)
The Dyson 360 Vis Nav is a bagless robot vacuum designed to take regular floor cleaning off your to-do list. It uses 26 sensors and 360° navigation to find its way around your home without getting stuck, and once it's connected to the MyDyson app you can map your home, choose the areas that need attention and mark places it should stay away from.
It's a good fit for busy households that would rather direct the cleaning from a phone than push a vacuum around every day. A HEPA filter helps trap fine dust, and voice control is available through Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa.
Dyson has also thought about privacy. The robot scans its surroundings while it cleans, but Dyson says that information is never saved. It comes in blue, weighs 11 lb and has a 0.13-gallon capacity.
What reviewers say
Reviewers consistently single out the 360 Vis Nav's suction as unusually strong for a robot vacuum, with thorough pickup on carpets and better-than-usual cleaning along room edges. The trade-offs they mention are that it only vacuums, with no mopping or self-emptying dock, that run time drops sharply on its highest power setting, and that its mapping and obstacle avoidance get mixed marks.
Pros
- Very strong suction for a robot vacuum
- Thorough dirt pickup on carpets in its standard Auto mode
- Cleans room edges and around furniture legs better than most robots
- Distinctive Dyson design
Cons
- Vacuum only, with no mopping or self-emptying base
- Short run time on Boost mode
- Mixed reports on mapping and avoiding small obstacles
