About the Ring Stick Up Cam Battery, White
The Ring Stick Up Cam Battery is a wireless security camera you can set up indoors or outdoors. It records 1080p HD video with night vision out to 30 feet, and its 130° field of view covers a porch, yard, garage or room.
Power comes from a quick-release battery pack, so there are no wires to run, and you can connect a solar panel for continuous charging. Customize motion zones to get alerts on your phone when activity is detected, then talk to whoever is there through its built-in mic and speaker. The camera is weather resistant for outdoor placement and connects to your home Wi-Fi, working alongside other Ring devices and with Alexa. Recorded video can be saved and reviewed with an optional Ring cloud storage plan.
It suits renters and homeowners who want a flexible camera they can move around or mount without hardwiring.
What reviewers say
Reviewers find the Stick Up Cam Battery quick to set up in the Ring app, flexible to place indoors or out, and handy for checking in with two-way talk, with batteries often lasting months between charges. The main drawbacks are that saving and reviewing recordings requires a paid Ring plan with no local storage, the speaker is fairly quiet, and some owners see shorter battery life than expected.
Pros
- Quick, simple setup in the Ring app
- Flexible placement indoors or outdoors
- Two-way talk works well for greeting visitors or checking on pets
- Battery can last months between charges for many users
Cons
- Recordings require a paid Ring plan, with no local storage
- Speaker volume is fairly low
- Battery life falls short of expectations for some owners
