About the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless Gaming Headset for PS5 & PC – White
The SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless is a premium over-ear gaming headset, here in white and set up for PlayStation and PC. Its active noise cancellation uses a four-microphone hybrid system to cut background noise, and a Hear-Through mode lets in the sound around you when you need to stay aware.
The Infinity Power System takes care of battery life with two hot-swappable batteries, each rated for up to 22 hours, so one can charge while you use the other. USB-C fast charging gives about three hours of play from a 15-minute top-up. You can switch between PC, PlayStation, Switch and Mac at the press of a button, and connect your phone at the same time to mix calls, Discord or music with game audio.
The 40 mm drivers can be tuned in SteelSeries' free software, which includes more than 100 game-specific presets and detailed custom EQ curves. It suits competitive and long-session players who want wireless freedom, noise cancelling and plenty of control over their sound.
What reviewers say
XDA Developers rates the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless highly for its balanced sound, lag-free wireless connection, wide customization options and swappable batteries that make a mid-game battery change quick. The main drawbacks are thick earpads that can get warm, companion software that feels bloated and occasionally unstable, and noise cancelling that is noticeably weaker than on dedicated ANC headphones.
Pros
- Balanced sound out of the box
- No noticeable lag over the 2.4GHz wireless connection
- Hot-swappable batteries mean you rarely have to stop and charge
- Highly customizable, including replaceable headband and ear plates
Cons
- Thick earpads can get warm in long sessions
- SteelSeries GG software can feel bloated and occasionally unstable
- Noise cancelling is weaker than on dedicated ANC headphones
