About the Apple iPad Air 11-inch (M3) Wi-Fi
The 11-inch iPad Air with the M3 chip is a thin, light tablet that pairs everyday ease of use with plenty of power for creative work. Apple says the M3's CPU, GPU and Neural Engine make it nearly twice as fast as the iPad Air with M1, and it's built for Apple Intelligence features that help you write and get things done. The 11-inch Liquid Retina display has a 2360 x 1640 resolution and P3 wide color for vivid photos and video.
The 12 MP front and back cameras support 4K video recording, and Center Stage keeps you in frame on video calls. Touch ID handles secure unlocking, landscape stereo speakers and dual microphones cover calls and media, and battery life is rated at up to 10 hours. A USB-C connector takes care of charging and accessories.
The iPad Air supports accessories such as Apple Pencil Pro and the Magic Keyboard for iPad Air. That makes it a good fit for students, note-takers and anyone who wants one portable device for streaming, browsing, drawing and 4K video edits.
What reviewers say
Reviewers call the M3 iPad Air an excellent mid-range tablet, praising its fast performance, bright and colorful screen, solid battery life and good speakers, along with pricing that didn't rise over the previous model. The most common criticisms are the 60Hz display without ProMotion, a design that's essentially unchanged, and keyboard and pencil accessories that add a lot to the cost.
Pros
- Fast M3 performance for creative apps and games
- Vivid, sharp Liquid Retina display
- Good battery life and audio
- Thin, light and well built
Cons
- 60Hz screen with no ProMotion
- Little change in design from the previous model
- Pencil and keyboard accessories are pricey
