About the Amazon Fire HD 10 Kids Tablet, 10.1-inch, 32GB – Pink
The Amazon Fire HD 10 Kids is a 10.1-inch tablet made for children ages 3 to 7. It pairs a kid-proof case with parental controls that keep grown-ups in charge. The bright 1080p Full HD display (1920 x 1200) suits books, videos and games, and Amazon says this generation is 25% faster than the one before. You get 32GB of storage and up to 13 hours of battery life.
The protective case is built to handle everyday drops and bumps, and its kickstand props the tablet up for hands-free viewing. Every Fire Kids tablet comes with a 2-year worry-free guarantee.
Parents can filter content by age, monitor screen time, block websites and approve app purchases from their own phone. With an Amazon Kids+ subscription, kids can explore thousands of age-appropriate books, movies, videos, music, apps and games, including learning apps that cover everything from first letters to science. This version comes in pink.
What reviewers say
Expert Reviews tested the 2023 Fire HD 10, the same tablet used in this Kids edition, and found it a clear step up in speed over the previous generation, with a higher-contrast screen and long battery life in testing, at a price few rivals match. On the downside, there's no Google Play Store, so apps come only from Amazon's store, and the screen is a little dimmer and less pixel-dense than some competitors.
Pros
- Noticeably faster than the previous generation
- Higher-contrast Full HD screen than before
- Long battery life in testing
- Good value for the hardware
Cons
- No Google Play Store or Google apps, so apps come only from Amazon's store
- Screen is a little dimmer than the previous model and not especially sharp
