About the Whirlpool 1.9 cu ft Over-the-Range Microwave
The Whirlpool WMH32519HZ is a 30-inch over-the-range microwave with a 1.9 cu ft interior and 1,000 watts of cooking power, finished in fingerprint-resistant stainless steel. It replaces a range hood: the two-speed 300 CFM fan can vent outside or recirculate, the vent itself is hidden, and adjustable cooktop lighting shines down on the hob.
Sensor cooking measures the steam coming off food and sets the time and power for you, with presets for everyday jobs and a defrost mode. Steam cooking lets you steam vegetables, rice or fish in the microwave, and the included rack allows two-level cooking. Inside, the CleanRelease non-stick surface lets spills wipe away with a damp cloth, and the turntable is dishwasher safe. Controls are electronic touch with a control lock, a delay timer and a large window in the left-opening door.
It is 29 7/8 in wide, 17 1/8 in tall and 15 9/16 in deep and weighs about 64 lb, so it needs the standard over-range mounting bracket and a 120 V outlet in the cabinet above. Delivery is to the door.

RTINGS' July 2024 lab review calls the WMH32519HZ an affordable over-the-range microwave with a large cavity that heats quickly for a 1,000 W unit (a few rivals were only marginally faster), with a steam sensor that works for popcorn and potatoes and the option to mute the beeps entirely. Its criticisms were that the cooktop fan and light are less adjustable than on pricier models and there is no app. Shoppers broadly agree: Walmart buyers rate it 4.6 out of 5 across roughly 6,000 ratings and Bray & Scarff customers 4.7 out of 5, praising even heating and how easily the interior wipes clean. The recurring complaints are dim lighting over the cooktop, a sensor reheat that does not suit every dish, and one report of a loud hum developing after a month.
