About the EcoFlow DELTA 2 Portable Power Station
The EcoFlow DELTA 2 is a portable power station for home backup, camping, RV trips and outdoor events. Its base capacity of about 1kWh can grow with you: add the DELTA 2 Extra Battery to reach 2,048Wh, or the DELTA Max Extra Battery for 3,040Wh.
The AC inverter delivers 1,800W, and EcoFlow's X-Boost mode is designed to run devices rated up to 2,200W without overloading. There are enough outlets and ports to power up to 15 devices at once. Recharging from a wall outlet takes it from 0 to 80% in about 50 minutes, and it also accepts solar input when you are away from the grid.
The EcoFlow app connects over Wi-Fi, or over Bluetooth when you are off-grid, so you can check charging data, change settings and adjust the charging speed from your phone. It is a good fit for households that want backup power for essentials during outages, with the option to expand capacity later.
What reviewers say
Popular Science and StorageReview see the DELTA 2 as a well-balanced mid-size power station: easy to carry with its built-in handles, quick to recharge from the wall, and built on a long-life LFP battery with room to expand. The main caveats are that its roughly 1kWh base capacity is limited for extended outages or full-time van life without an extra battery, and real-world solar charging tends toward the slower end of EcoFlow's estimate.
Pros
- Fast wall recharging
- Easy to carry with built-in handles
- Expandable with extra batteries
- Long-life LFP battery chemistry
Cons
- Base capacity is modest for long outages without an add-on battery
- Real-world solar charging can take several hours
