About the Ryobi ONE+ 18V Cordless 6-Tool Combo Kit with 1.5Ah and 4.0Ah Batteries and Charger
This Ryobi ONE+ combo kit puts six 18V cordless tools in one bag, making it an easy way to equip a home workshop or get started on the ONE+ battery system. It covers the jobs most DIYers run into, with a drill/driver and an impact driver for drilling and driving, a circular saw and a reciprocating saw for cutting, and a multi-tool that runs at up to 20,000 OPM.
Power comes from two lithium-ion batteries, a 1.5Ah pack and a 4.0Ah pack, so you have a spare ready when one runs down. A charger and a carry bag are included, and the tools use brushed motors.
The kit is aimed at beginners and everyday DIYers who want one set that handles drilling, cutting and driving around the house. Everything together weighs about 22.75 pounds, and the bag keeps it organized between projects.
What reviewers say
A hands-on review of the earlier version of this kit from One Project Closer, plus retailer customer feedback summarized by ShopSavvy, describe it as good value for a first cordless set. The impact driver and versatile multi-tool get the most praise, and buyers like getting two batteries with the tools. The most common complaints are a thin carry bag, the compact circular saw's shallower cut depth, and occasional reports of a tool failing early.
Pros
- Good value compared with buying the tools separately
- Impact driver and multi-tool handle a wide range of DIY jobs
- Two batteries included, with useful runtime from the 4.0Ah pack
- Easy way into the ONE+ battery system
Cons
- Carry bag is thin and can tear
- Compact 5-1/2 in circular saw cuts less deeply than larger saws
- Some owners report a tool, such as the impact driver, failing early
