About the Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 Portable Power Station
The Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 is a portable power station for camping trips, off-road travel and keeping essentials running during a power outage at home. It stores about 1,070Wh of energy, supports fast charging, and can be topped up from solar panels when you are away from an outlet.
Jackery positions the v2 as a faster, more capable follow-up to its earlier Explorer 1000 models. It is a good match for anyone who wants one portable unit to cover weekend trips as well as home emergencies, and pairing it with a compatible Jackery solar panel gives you a way to recharge without a wall outlet.
What reviewers say
OutdoorGearLab rates the Explorer 1000 v2 a decent, simple choice for camping and home backup, praising its compact, relatively light build, near-silent fans and built-in light, and its measured usable output ran a cooler and an induction cooktop. On the downside, it recharges more slowly and accepts less solar input than many newer 1,000Wh rivals, can't be expanded with extra batteries, and has only three closely spaced AC outlets.
Pros
- Compact and relatively light for its capacity
- Fans stay quiet even under heavy load
- Simple to use, with a built-in light
Cons
- Slower recharging and lower solar input than newer rivals
- No battery expansion option
- Only three AC outlets, spaced closely
