About the Whirlpool 6.7 cu ft Double Oven Electric Range
The Whirlpool WGE745C0FS is a 30-inch freestanding electric range with two ovens totalling 6.7 cu ft: a 2.5 cu ft upper oven for sides, pizzas and quick bakes, and a 4.2 cu ft lower oven with True Convection, which adds a third heating element behind the fan for even results across the racks. Convection Conversion adjusts recipe times and temperatures for you, and Frozen Bake skips preheating for frozen pizza, lasagne and fries.
The ceramic glass cooktop has five radiant elements. The FlexHeat triple element switches between 6, 9 and 12 inch zones to suit a small saucepan or a stockpot, a dual 9/6 inch element sits beside it, and a low-power melt element handles butter and chocolate. AquaLift self-cleaning uses water and low heat to loosen soils in about 50 minutes without harsh chemicals. Controls are dishwasher-safe knobs and a digital touch panel on the backguard, with a hot-surface indicator and control lock.
It is electric only and needs a 240 V, 40 A circuit. It stands 47 1/8 in tall to the top of the backguard and about 29 15/16 in wide. Delivery is to the door.
What reviewers say
Reviewed.com named the WGE745C0FS the best electric range it had tested (October 2021). Its burners boiled 48 oz of water in about two minutes, quick for an electric range, the FlexHeat element coped with both small saucepans and big stockpots, and four of the five elements could hold pans at once. Baking was even across a single tray in both ovens and pizza and pork roasts cooked well; the one real knock was that the lower oven's convection mode browned the bottom tray faster when baking two trays of cookies, and testers found the knobs on the rear panel a reach. There is no air-fry mode. Owners at Brothers Main and PC Richard average about 4.5 out of 5, praising baking results and the cookware capacity, with a few reporting the range does not sit flush to the wall.
