About the Traeger Pro 780 WiFIRE Pellet Grill – Bronze
The Traeger Pro 780 is a full-size wood pellet grill that lets you grill, smoke, bake and roast on one freestanding cart. Its D2 controller with WiFIRE technology connects the grill to Wi-Fi, so you can keep an eye on the cook and adjust the temperature from your phone. The range runs from 165°F for low-and-slow smoking up to 500°F, and the Turbo Temp feature is designed to help it heat up faster.
You get 780 square inches of total cooking space over two tiers: 570 sq in on the main grate and 210 sq in on the upper rack, enough for about 34 burgers at once. The 18-pound hopper feeds pellets automatically and has a clean-out, and a Traeger meat probe is included to track internal temperatures.
Porcelain-coated steel grates, a side shelf, a drip-pan grease system and all-terrain wheels round out the design. It runs on standard 120V power, weighs about 150 pounds and needs some assembly. It suits home cooks who want consistent backyard smoking and grilling without tending a fire.
What reviewers say

Common drawbacks are the temperature drop when the lid is opened, smoke flavor some find milder than a traditional smoker, and the need for both mains power and Wi-Fi, with occasional app connection problems.
