About the Hisense 65" Class U7 Series (U7SG) 4K ULED Mini-LED Google TV
Hisense's U7 Series pairs a Mini-LED backlight with full-array local dimming and Hisense's Hi-QLED color technology on a 65-inch 4K screen. The panel has an anti-reflection, glare-free finish, which makes it a natural fit for bright living rooms, and Google TV brings apps like Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube and Disney+.
Gaming is a big part of the appeal. The U7 runs at up to 165Hz, supports variable refresh rate from 48Hz to 165Hz with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, and has ALLM, which switches the TV into its low-latency Game Mode when a console is detected. There are four HDMI ports, along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, USB and optical audio out.
Sound comes from a 2.1.2-channel Dolby Atmos speaker system with a built-in subwoofer, so you may not need a soundbar right away. Voice control works with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. At 56.9 inches wide and 2.3 inches deep, it suits a living room, family room or game room.
What reviewers say
Reviewers see the 2026 U7 as a strong mid-range TV for bright rooms, with high brightness, an effective anti-glare screen, very low input lag and a full set of gaming features; Tom's Guide also singled out its 2.1.2-channel speakers. On the downside, testers noted a narrow viewing angle, blur in fast motion and out-of-the-box color that can look cool or slightly green, and opinions on its black levels were mixed.
Pros
- Very bright, with an anti-glare screen that handles daylight well
- Low input lag and HDMI 2.1 gaming features on all four inputs
- Built-in 2.1.2-channel audio is stronger than most TV speakers
- Good upscaling and cleanup of low-quality streams
Cons
- Narrow viewing angle for wide seating arrangements
- Slow response time causes blur in fast action
- Out-of-box color can look cool or greenish, with some HDR banding
