About the LG 65" OLED evo AI C6 4K Smart TV (2026)

The C6 is LG's 2026 mid-range OLED evo and, by most accounts, the one to pick for a mix of films, sport and gaming. Each of its 8.3 million pixels lights itself, so blacks are truly black with no backlight haloing, and the new Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen3 handles upscaling, noise reduction and tone mapping. The 65-inch model includes LG's Brightness Booster.

Gamers get four full-bandwidth HDMI 2.1 inputs, 4K at up to 165Hz from a PC and 120Hz from consoles, NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium support, and a 0.1 ms response time. Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG are all supported, and Dolby Atmos decoding feeds a 2.2-channel, 40W speaker system.

webOS 26 brings Google Gemini and LG's AI picture and sound features, with software updates for up to five years. The 65-inch set weighs 36.6 lb (16.6 kg) and comes with LG's Magic Remote, with AirPlay 2 and Google Cast built in.

What reviewers say

Reviews are strongly positive. Trusted Reviews calls the 65-inch C6 an excellent mid-range OLED with balanced, colour-rich pictures; AV Forums says its blacks, contrast and viewing angles still beat the best Mini LED sets and some rival OLEDs; What Hi-Fi finds it an upgrade on the C5 in nearly every way; RTINGS measured near-perfect contrast, very low input lag and excellent SDR accuracy out of the box, and Tom's Guide measured around 1,355 nits in HDR. Criticisms: RTINGS found HDR colour errors before calibration, stutter from the fast pixel response and only okay reflection handling; What Hi-Fi notes the 65-inch keeps the standard panel rather than the brighter Tandem OLED of larger sizes and finds the thin, sharp-edged chassis awkward to handle; Tom's Guide calls the sound weak.

Pros

  • Near-perfect contrast and deep blacks; excellent SDR accuracy out of the box
  • Four HDMI 2.1 ports, 4K 165Hz, VRR and low input lag make it a top gaming TV
  • Dolby Vision and HDR10 support, webOS 26 and five years of updates
  • A noticeable step up from the C5, per AV Forums and What Hi-Fi

Cons

  • 65-inch uses the standard OLED panel, not the brighter Tandem panel of larger C6 sizes
  • HDR colour accuracy out of the box is only decent; stutter on low-frame-rate content
  • Built-in sound is ordinary; thin, sharp-edged body is awkward to move
