About the Apple Watch SE 3 (40mm) – Midnight Aluminum Case
Apple Watch SE 3 is Apple's entry-level smartwatch, and this version has a compact 40mm aluminum case in Midnight. It runs on the S10 chip with a 4-core Neural Engine and 64GB of storage, and its Always-On Retina display uses an LTPO OLED panel that reaches up to 1,000 nits.
It covers the everyday essentials: notifications, Apple Pay, built-in GPS, and activity and workout tracking, with sensors including an optical heart sensor, a temperature sensor, an always-on altimeter and a compass. Apple's sleep features include sleep stages and a sleep score. It is water resistant to 50 meters and rated swimproof, though not for scuba diving or high-speed water sports.
Apple rates battery life at up to 18 hours of normal use, or up to 32 hours in Low Power Mode, and fast charging reaches about 80 percent in around 45 minutes with the included magnetic fast charger. It requires an iPhone 11 or later and suits first-time Apple Watch owners and anyone who wants the core Apple Watch experience in a smaller size.
