About the Samsung M70H Mini LED 4K Smart TV
The Samsung 43" Class M70HB Series is a 2026 4K smart TV with a Mini LED backlight, which Samsung pitches at bright, detailed color for streaming apps and video games. It runs Samsung's Tizen platform with Vision AI Companion, and Samsung TV Plus adds thousands of free channels, including more than 700 premium channels, with no subscription needed.
The 3840 x 2160 screen supports HDR and has a 60 Hz refresh rate. Three HDMI ports, USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth cover your connections, and the TV works with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. Samsung Knox Security helps keep your personal data protected. At about 37.7 inches wide, 3 inches deep and 14.8 lb, it is easy to place on a dresser, desk or small TV stand.
It's a sensible pick for a bedroom, kitchen, dorm room or smaller living space where you want a compact 4K screen with a modern smart TV interface and plenty of free content.
What reviewers say
Professional testing of Samsung's M70H series has been critical: RTINGS rates it below par overall, noting that despite the Mini LED name it has no local dimming, so dark-room contrast is limited, brightness is too low for impactful HDR or a sunny room, and fast motion looks very blurry. Other reviewers and retail shoppers are kinder to it as an everyday TV, citing a sharp picture for casual streaming and a modern Tizen interface, so it suits casual viewing better than movie nights or serious gaming.
Pros
- Shoppers generally like the sharp 4K picture for everyday viewing
- Low input lag with VRR support for casual gaming
- Modern Tizen interface with lots of free Samsung TV Plus content
Cons
- No local dimming, so contrast is weak in a dark room
- Not bright enough for impactful HDR or to beat strong glare
- Limited to 60Hz with very blurry fast motion and no HDMI 2.1 bandwidth
